Sidney P. Rohrscheib, MD
Dr. Sid Rohrscheib was born & raised in Decatur, IL. He received his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Illinois. He completed his internship and residency in general surgery at The Ohio State University Hospitals. At the time, The Ohio State University Hospitals were one of the most recognized facilities for Bariatric surgery.
He is a Board Certified General Surgeon and is a member of both the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons and the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons. Dr. Rohrscheib has successfully performed nearly 600 Gastric Bypasses and over 850 Lap-Band procedures.
Dr. Rohrscheib is a general surgical provider for the Dr. John Warner Hospital in Clinton, IL and Provena Covenant Medical Center in Champaign-Urbana, IL. He participates as a Level 1 Trauma surgeon in his affilitation with Rockford Memorial Hospital, Rockford, IL and acts as a clinical instructor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Champaign, IL.
Dr. Rohrscheib and his wife Krista currently reside in Clinton with their two daughters.
