The Illinois Bariatric Center provides a unique, multidisciplinary program dedicated to the management and surgical treatment of morbid obesity and the lifelong commitment to behavioral and lifestyle changes to follow. Our program consists of a team of dedicated professionals to improve your overall health and quality of life.
Sidney P. Rohrscheib, MD
Dr. Rohrscheib is experienced in all aspects of Bariatric Surgery. Having performed over 1,200 gastric bands, he is one of the most experienced band surgeons in the State of Illinois. He uses both the LAP-BAND® System and the REALIZE® Band.
Keith McEwen, MD
Dr. McEwen has been performing outpatient LAP-BAND® System Surgeries since June 2005. He is the only surgeon in Indiana to have performed the LAP-BAND® System Surgery on an outpatient basis.
Vafa Shayani, MD
Dr. Shayani is one of the experts on Lap-Band surgery in the country. He started performing gastric banding soon after its FDA approval in 2001, making him one of the first surgeons in the United States to perform this procedure.
Jeanine Hinshaw, APN, CNP
Jeanine is a nurse practitioner with over 15 years experience who helps with patient care and education.
